Our steps to minimise the spread of Coronavirus
Here at Chem-Dry Magic, the safety of our team and our valued customers is our top priority. In these trying times, it’s crucial that we take extra precautions to protect the health and well-being of everyone involved. We’ve implemented several measures to guarantee the safety of both our staff and our customers.
1. Maintaining strict hygiene procedures
Chem-Dry Magic technicians carry hand sanitisers or liquid soap to sanitise their hands between and throughout every job and practise good hygiene.
2. Unwell staff must be cleared to work by a medical practitioner
Any staff member who exhibits cold or flu-like symptoms are being asked to take time off work until they are cleared by a medical practitioner.
3. Screening customers at time of booking
Chem-Dry Magic now screens all customers over the phone to determine if any customers have travelled outside Australia in the last 14 days, or have come into contact with anyone carrying Coronavirus. We have asked any clients who have travelled overseas to wait 14 days before their Chem-Dry Magic service. Where a client has been exposed to someone with Coronavirus, we ask the client to postpone their booking until they have been cleared by a medical professional or have completed self-isolation procedures.
4. Staff training to mitigate risk of COVID-19 transmission
All Chem-Dry Magic technicians are currently undergoing training provided by the World Health Organization and the Australian Department of Health. We are ensuring that all of our technicians have the knowledge and procedures to effectively mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmissions.
5. Equipment sanitised daily to treat germs, bacteria and viruses
Our technicians carry sanitising products that include a viricide to effectively deactivate viruses. These sanitisers are applied to our equipment daily and are residually active, ensuring they are effective throughout the day. We need your assistance. If you, or anyone in your family have cold or flu-like symptoms, please postpone your booking with Chem-Dry Magic until you have been cleared by a medical professional.

* Based on studies conducted by independent laboratories of Chem-Dry’s HCE (Hot Carbonating Extraction), P.U.R.T.® (Pet Urine Removal Treatment), Granite Countertop Renewal, and Tile, Stone & Grout cleaning processes. Allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergen. Pet odour results based on testing with the most common odour sources found in dog and cat urine. Pet urine bacteria results based on Chem-Dry’s HCE cleaning process and a sanitiser, combined with P.U.R.T. All bacteria results include use of sanitiser. Figures are an average across multiple tests.
